Deacon Bob Bauer

“It is my honor to assist CCIEC in their mission as Interim CEO; they have a great team and many dedicated volunteers serving our community. I want to thank Joe Garcia for his many years of dedicated service. My goal in serving the Board of Directors and the team is to provide a successful transition to a new full-time CEO. Robert E Bauer, Jr. is the son of the late Robert E Bauer, Sr. and Terry Bauer. He is a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. He and his wife Tami were married on June 28th, 1986, and they have four married children (Bobby-Shana, Ben-Nic, Becca-Bo, and Bailey-Katie) and ten grandchildren. Bob is Chairman Emeritus at BMC in Lansing, where he has been employed since February of 1979. Bob and Tami have been members of St. Michael Parish in Grand Ledge since 1985, and they have been active in various parish ministries throughout the diocese, including the Lansing Legatus Chapter. Bob was ordained a permanent deacon in May 2015 and is currently assigned to St. Michael Parish. He holds a theology degree from Siena Heights in Adrian and is trained in spiritual direction. Bob has served on numerous non-profit boards, commissions, and committees, including Past Chair of Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA), and currently serves on the board for St. Francis Retreat Center. Bob and Tami enjoy being with family and friends at their cottage in northern Michigan and spending time in Florida during the winter months, where he is assigned to St. Clare Parish in Palm Beach Gardens.
