The Legacy Society recognizes those who include CCIEC in their future plans through a bequest, in a will, trust, life insurance or life income gifts. You may become a member of the Legacy Society simply by notifying the Development Office that you have named CCIEC in your will or estate plan, and by completing a ‘Statement of Support’ form, obtained from the CCIEC Development Office.

Special Collections, In-Kind Giving, and Shopping Support

Meijer Simply Give

CCIEC is happy to partner with Meijer at its Capital City Market location, 600 E Michigan Ave Ste 100, to provide hunger relief to local families through its Simply Give hunger relief program.

To help reduce hunger in the Greater Lansing area, purchase a $10 Simply Give donation card upon checkout. Once purchased, the donation is converted into a Meijer Food-Only Gift Card and donated directly to CCIEC. Meijer customers shopping online using Meijer pickup or home delivery can also purchase Simply Give donation cards as an add-on to their orders.

Want to have a greater impact? Double Match Day is June 20th! For every $10 Simply Give card contributed on this day, Meijer will provide $20, bringing the total contribution to $30. If you don't shop at Capital City Market and want to support CCIEC through participating in Meijer Simply Give, please go to our website at CatholicCharitiesIEC.org, click “Donate,” and select the drop-down option "Meijer Simply Give.” If mailing your donation, write "Meijer Simply Give" on the envelope or check CCIEC will purchase the Simply Give cards on your behalf, tripling your impact. GIFTS OF STOCK INFORMATION

A gift of securities can be made with an electronic transfer of shares to CCIEC and can be an option for accumulated stock that has appreciated in value and would be subject to capital gains tax if sold.

Whether making a stock transfer electronically, or by any other means, please submit a letter to us explaining the intent to transfer (gift) the stock. Please include the name of the stock, the number of shares, donor’s name, address and broker information and address the letter to:
